A survey of nearly 4,000 Muslims has revealed that the overwhelming majority believe that, ideally, Muslims should be married by the age of 25.
Results released today show that the Muslim community is bucking the UK trend, where more and more people are choosing to marry later in life, with many couples opting to marry in their thirties.

She is a part-time volunteer youth worker who especially enjoys working with local Muslim youth and addressing the challenges they face.
Jahid and Halima found a strong connection between themselves, rooted firmly in their love of helping others.

We met Sabina and Khaled at their home in East Finchley.
Khaled was born in Bangladesh and came to the UK in 1993 when he was just 11 years old. After completing an accounting and finance degree at Middlesex University, Khaled is now pursuing the Association for Chartered Certified Accountants qualification. He is the eldest child in his family and has four younger sisters.
Sabina was born in North London. She has one older sister, one younger sister and two younger brothers. She is a graduate in business administration and before she married she worked as a tutor at an Islamic education centre.
